Baked Ziti

Easy Baked Ziti With Three Cheeses Recipe. This delicious baked ziti recipe is made with plenty of sauce and cheese. Ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan make this a hearty, satisfying casserole and, if you use a meat- free sauce, it's a vegetarian dish. Feel free to make a meat sauce to add to the ziti bake, or use a store- bought marinara or traditional spaghetti sauce. This recipe calls for 2 cups of mozzarella cheese, half for the pasta and half for the topping, but you can omit the topping if you prefer less cheese. If using less cheese, you might want to add more seasoned salt to make up for the saltiness of the missing cheese.

This baked ziti is a perfect combination of ricotta, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses. Use a ready-made meat-free or ground-beef sauce to top it off.

This recipe is great, it's the same way my caterer mom and every Italian restaurant I've ever been to in NJ & NY make ziti. Who puts meat in ziti???) All the seasoning in this recipe is in the sauce so if you use crummy sauce you will have crummy ziti, duh!

I use my homemade, very well seasoned sauce for this. I put the parmesan right into the cheese mixture and add an egg as well. I also put a layer of sauce on the bottom of the pan (this extra sauce makes all the difference). Try this recipe with good sauce and you will be glad you did!

I use more mozzarella in the mixture than the recipe calls for but it just makes it even better. Also, instead of using any of the water from cooking the pasta, I simply buy one of the big jars of Ragu and use four cups of the sauce and it is never dry.

The leftovers are great! This recipe is simple. For a little more kick, add some pepper (black, or red for a lot of spice) to the sauce.

TKOTINK from. i made it this morning and instead of ziti, I used farfalle. I used farfalle. I also added ground beef, onions, and portabella mushrooms to the sauce. I used an italian mix of cheese instead of only mozzarella and on the top of the pasta i added more sauce, more cheese, and cooked baby spinach which made it look much more appetizing.

My picky, best friend loved it! It is really easy to make and the taste is great if you season your sauce correctly since the recipe doesn't call for any additional spices.

I'll make it again when i run out. Date published: 2. Rated 5 out of. 5 by. My father, boyfriend, and sister- in- law absolutely LOVED this recipe.

My father, boyfriend, and sister- in- law absolutely LOVED this recipe. I suggest it to anyone who loves italian food, pasta, or just likes to make quick and easy dishes that are delicious. I found that adding sugar *not a lot* to the sauce takes away all of the tartness that there may seem to be in the recipe and also adding hamburger adds and extra little zing to it that your family and friends are sure to love. My kids seemed to think it was okay, but to me, it was super bland. It has absolutely no taste. I make a dish very similar to this one but with penne rigate pasta and add tons of pepperoni to the mix and it's delish, and this pales in comparison to my dish. I won't make it again. Date published: 2.
